If you do things in halves, this hand-carved peach spoon is for you. A half teaspoon finished in two coats of tung oil.
The wood was salvaged from the orchard at the family farm at Maragle, NSW.
It’s 15cm long and 2cm wide.

This hand-carved spoon is made from a Silver Polar Tree that I felled at Maragle, NSW at the foothills of the Snowy Mountains. Now before you get upset that I felled a tree to make a spoon, this tree is not native to Australia and therefore what I consider to be a weed.
After carving I baked it in the oven to give it a beautiful golden brown colour and have coated it in 2 coats of tung oil. It’s got my makers mark on the back. The luminous golden sheen of this wood is incredible!
It measures 40cm long, 8.5cm bowl at widest point.
