This scoop is hand-carved from dry peach wood from the family farm at Maragle, NSW.
It measures 17cm x 4.5 cm and is finished in Tung Oil. Extra little carving details on the back are courteous of some hungry insects.
Great for flour, grain, coffee or sugar.

This hand-carved spoon is made from a Silver Polar Tree that I felled at Maragle, NSW at the foothills of the Snowy Mountains. Now before you get upset that I felled a tree to make a spoon, this tree is not native to Australia and therefore what I consider to be a weed.
After carving I baked it in the oven to give it a beautiful golden brown colour and have coated it in 2 coats of tung oil. It’s got my makers mark on the back.
It measures 19cm long, 4cm bowl at widest point.

This serving board is made from 140+ year old rough-sawn Messmate timber sourced from the historic ‘Kosciusko’ building in Tumbarumba and has been handmade to preserve the character of the timber and the saw method. It has 3 coats of beeswax salve.
