Description
This Mountain Hickory Wattle (Acacia obliquinervia) came from wood near Eden, NSW.
It’s hand-carved using an axe, sloyd knife and hook knife and it’s been burnished with deer antler. It’s had a coat of flaxseed oil which both protects the wood and brings out the grain and patterns.
It measures 34cm long and is 6.5cm at its widest point.
