Photo Essay Workshop with Nat Ord.
Wangaratta Art Gallery is delighted to offer, Portrait of Wangaratta, a unique workshop to accompany our current exhibition, A Portrait of Australia, stories of Australia through the lens of Australian Geographic.
Join celebrated local, award-winning artist and photographer Nat Ord on a walk around Wangaratta as she guides you in capturing your own series of photographs. Nat will focus on using photography as a way of storytelling across various devices, from smartphones to analogue and digital SLR cameras.
Participants are encouraged to bring whatever image-capturing device they are familiar with. They can expect to learn about light, colour and composition to create a series of dynamic and expressive images that tells the story of Wangaratta; the bush, the waterways and the people who live and work here.
