This 22cm x 10cm dish was hand-carved and finished in shou sugi ban method and Tung Oil.
It’s made from Elm wood which is sourced and milled by hand at the family farm in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains at Maragle, NSW.

This hand-carved spoon is made from a Silver Polar Tree that I felled at Maragle, NSW at the foothills of the Snowy Mountains. Now before you get upset that I felled a tree to make a spoon, this tree is not native to Australia and therefore what I consider to be a weed.
After carving I baked it in the oven to give it a beautiful golden brown colour and have coated it in 2 coats of tung oil. It’s got my makers mark on the back.
It measures 19cm long, 4cm bowl at widest point.
