Hand made dry bud vase treated with shou sugi ban method

This dry bud vase is made from reclaimed spotted gum and tearted with the Japanese method of shou sugi ban. Each piece is individually treated by hand, using fire to coax a deep, textured complexity from the wood grain. The Shou Sugi Ban process transforms the exterior into a mesmerising landscape of peaks and valleys, a tactile history etched onto its surface.
It is finished in liquid besswax and is 200mm tall x 85mm wide and 40mm deep.
Does not come with feather.
