This Elm wood scoop was carved out of a dry piece of timber from a majestic stand of Elm in Maragle, NSW.
It’s finished in orange oil and beeswax salve and looks fab! I’m glad because it was tough on the hands making this baby.
It’s 15cm long and 7.5cm with the bowl measuring 6cm and 2cm at the deepest point. Makers mark on back.
This hand-carved spoon is made from a Silver Polar Tree that I felled at Maragle, NSW at the foothills of the Snowy Mountains. Now before you get upset that I felled a tree to make a spoon, this tree is not native to Australia and therefore what I consider to be a weed.
After carving I baked it in the oven to give it a beautiful golden brown colour and have coated it in 2 coats of tung oil. It’s got my makers mark on the back.
It measures 19cm long, 4cm bowl at widest point.

Hand-carved Silver Poplar dolphin spoon baked in oven to give a golden colour and finished in tung oil. Spoon measures 14cm long, 4.6cm at widest point .

This hand-carved spoon is made from a Callistemon (Bottlebrush sp.) from a tree in Albury, NSW. It’s incredible hard and has the most beautiful luminous fiddleback near the bowl of the spoon. It’s finished in tung oil and ready for you to cook up a storm.
It measures 37cm long, 5cm bowl at widest point.
