Back in production after a long hiatus, the Gränsfors Bruk Small Gutter Adze (25 mm radius) is the ultimate close-working tool for hollowing out timber. Whether you are carving greenwood bowls, sculpting wooden troughs, or working on tight log notches, this hand-forged Swedish adze offers exceptional control where larger tools can’t reach.
Unlike a straight adze, the gutter adze features a blade curved transversely across its sweep. This rounded 25 mm profile allows you to scoop out waste wood quickly and cleanly across the grain without binding or tearing.
Each adze is hand-forged in Sweden from recycled carbon steel and comes stamped with the initials of the smith who crafted it—a testament to generations of traditional toolmaking heritage.
