Gränsfors Bruk Small Gutter Adze – 40 mm Radius

Back in production after a long hiatus, the Gränsfors Bruk Small Gutter Adze (40 mm radius) is built for smooth, wide-sweeping hollowing work. Whether you are shaping large wooden troughs, saddling chair seats, or clearing out broad-capacity bowls, this hand-forged Swedish adze delivers exceptional surface control at the bench.

Unlike a straight adze, the gutter adze features a blade curved transversely across its sweep. This shallower 40 mm profile lets you scoop out waste wood smoothly across broad concave areas, leaving a cleaner finish and saving you time when you switch over to hand gouges or scorps.

Each adze is hand-forged in Sweden from recycled carbon steel and comes stamped with the initials of the smith who crafted it—a testament to generations of traditional toolmaking heritage.
