Gränsfors Small Carving Axe: Easy Precision for Your Woodwork
The Gränsfors Small Carving Axe is built for balance. If big tools feel heavy or make you tired, this axe is for you. It is light, fast, and easy to move, but it still has the famous Gränsfors quality.
Built for Comfort and Control
This axe is a smaller version of our famous Large Carving Axe. It is about 80% of the size, making it feel like part of your hand. It is the best choice for:
-
New Carvers: The light weight helps you learn the right way to carve without getting tired.
-
Fine Detail: Use the curved blade for smooth shapes and a perfect finish.
-
Long Days: The thick hickory handle is easy to hold. We updated the grip based on what our customers asked for.
Choose Your Edge
The standard axe has a double grind. This means it is a great “all-rounder” for most jobs. Because every carver is different, we also offer special edges:
-
Right-Hand Grind (471-V): Made for those who use their right hand.
-
Left-Hand Grind (471-H): Made for those who use their left hand.
Note: If you want a specific single-sided edge, please contact us to place a special order.
